Lucas is about 30 miles northeast of downtown Dallas and 60 miles northeast of Fort Worth. Our little town has experienced the 20th fastest population growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth area over the past three years and our prevailing tax rate is in the bottom quartile of property tax rates throughout the Dallas area. I may be a little biased but Lucas is one of the best Dallas suburbs in the area.
